A word on the name
The counsel is proven with mid-market managers because it was built in their world: covered it as a journalist, worked in it, and lived it day to day. Reputa is the Latin verb behind reputation: reckon it, weigh it up. It was also built inside the large market, in global asset managers and global agencies, where the standards the mid-market is judged against are set. A mid-market firm gets both readings at once: its own world, understood from inside, and the large market’s world, understood the same way.

A reputation is a stack. The record sits at the base: the filings, the documents, the facts on the ground. Above it sits the reading of that record. Above that, the story the firm tells. Above that, the channels the story travels through. And at the top now sit the machines, reading the whole stack and answering questions about the firm from it.
Stacks have one rule. A fault at the base reaches everything built on it. So the foundations come first, and the work runs from the bottom up.
Our philosophy
Perception is how a firm is seen today. Reputation is who it is known to be over time, and reputation is what gets priced, at the fundraise and in diligence.
Media relations, in this firm, is not a service bought in. It is my own practice, and the connections run on all three sides of the table: the journalists who write the record, the managers who live inside it, and the investors who price it. That is what the counsel adds: a perspective that is additive rather than decorative, changing what a firm does, discloses and honours, not only what it says. The practice was founded in 2020, as Allen & Associates. It is now Reputa Advisory. The name reflects the work, and a career on all sides of this market.
