Reputational risk management for private markets, benchmarked to best practice.

Reputation leads. Growth follows.

Your coverage is not your reputation. We read your disclosures, your coverage and your footprint the way your judges will, allocators, journalists and the machines that now answer for you, and we fix what fails before they price it.

Ask us for your baseline.

The problem nobody is measuring

Perception is how a firm is seen right now. Reputation is who it is known to be over time, and it is priced at the fundraise: size against target, time to close, terms conceded.

Most private markets firms are unlisted. They have no share price to warn them and no reading of their standing. They have activity instead: coverage, campaigns, presence, reported back to them as success. Meanwhile the record accumulates in filings, in fulfilment histories, in regulatory actions and in the answers machines now give about them, and that record is what allocators, gatekeepers and advisers actually read.

The gap between the two is where firms lose capital without ever knowing why.

The weather changes

Markets move in cycles, and products are designed in one kind of weather and tested in another. A firm is read in a storm on exactly what it does: what it honours, what it discloses, and how it treats the people who trusted it in the calm.

Reputation is built the same way. The record is written in the calm, disclosure by disclosure, placement by placement, and that record is the resilience a firm draws on when the weather turns. It cannot be written during the storm. By then the market is only reading what is already there.

We have worked through several of these cycles, on all three sides of the record. The work is to build block by block while building is possible, and to keep writing the record honestly as the weather changes, so that what has been built holds when it is tested.

How we operate

Before anything is measured, we work with the firm hand in hand to understand it: its business, its risks, its needs and expectations, its goals and its pipeline, everything it is setting out to achieve. Only then is the Baseline established, the firm's perception set against its own record, factor by factor, priced in the order the gap costs. Then we guide the firm through the work: managing the record and writing the record, so that its standing in it strengthens its permission to operate. And we stay for the re-reading that proves whether it moved.

Most firms hand you a report and leave. Guidance is the product. The Baseline is our mission, systematised: the same evidence, the same standard and the same candour, brought to every client we serve.

The Baseline

The Reputational Risk Baseline scores a firm's reputational risk out of 60: share of voice, how the press reads it, whether its narrative survives its own filings, what search and AI answers say about it, its live risk register, and the strength of its relationships. Each factor is marked against best practice for a firm of its size and channel, and conditioned by its ambition, its performance, the market cycle and its positioning.

Of everything measured, one lever is ours to pull directly: the media, the firm's voice in its own record. The reading also identifies the activities only the firm can take, the conduct, disclosure and product decisions that change perception now and rebuild reputation as they accumulate.

How we work

Baseline first. Then the work is bought in blocks, never on a retainer. Each block is a defined piece of counsel with a result attached, so a firm can judge us on the work itself.

Not an agency. If you have one, keep it, and let the reading tell you what its work is worth. We work in parallel with the firm, alongside its own people and its other advisers, to generate value and build its permission to operate.

The model is accountable by design. The relationship rests on results, not on our brand. A large firm sells its standing in the market, its name and its sales effort. Standing is not counsel. What a firm needs is counsel that knows its record, its market and its judges, and can prove its value in the reading. That is what the blocks buy, one defined result at a time.

This firm is built for the client, not for itself. The work is shaped to the firm's needs, not to our convenience. The results are verifiable, in the re-reading, on the same scale. We understand the business before we advise it. Clients get what they pay for, and they can check that they did.

We are not building this at scale, and we do not seek to. The firm was built to give quality rather than quantity.

We have built our business block by block. We help you build yours block by block, and we protect what gets built, so nobody knocks those blocks down. In parallel, we build together, and we keep building up.
